Spotlight on Grant Awards for 2019 Fiscal Year

In the 2019 fiscal year grant cycle, the Saint Francis Foundation awarded nearly 100 grants in the amount of $3.4M. The Foundation provides grants to Saint Francis Memorial Hospital to fund capital renovations, equipment and technology, patient care and amenities, staff training and education, and awards grants to community partners who focus on population health and prevention. Grants to the Hospital and the community are made possible through the generous contributions of our donors. Highlights from the 2019 fiscal year grant cycle include:
- Innowave Ultrasonic Cleaner for Surgical Instruments – cleans robotic instruments more efficiently and increases use of da Vinci robot for surgeries
- Mobile Computer Stations for Enhanced Patient Care – enhances nursing interactions with patients
- GE Vivid E95 Cardiovascular Ultrasound System – provides 3D capability of the heart muscle
- Behavioral Health Unit Renovation – comfort and safety upgrades to improve patient health outcomes
- Transgender Surgery Conference Sponsor with WPATH – assisted providers in supporting individuals who undergo gender surgeries
- TL Thrives Initiative with TLHIP Partners – creates solutions to mitigate community-wide trauma caused by drug-dealing in the Tenderloin
