Creating Community Solutions to Injection Drug Use
Community Resources & Reports
TLHIP partners are working towards solutions to reduce public injecting and the number of used needles that are discarded on the streets of the Tenderloin – both harsh results of the opioid epidemic seen daily in the neighborhood where drug use and homelessness collide. Recommendations include expanding harm reduction services to provide drug users with clean and safe places to inject and access treatment and support services, and promoting a more humane response to people who use drugs in our community.
